Gretchen Crary is the founder of February Media, a boutique publicity and marketing firm for authors, journalists, and documentary filmmakers based in New York City. Before coming to publishing, she was a television producer for the documentary program Frontline, for 60 Minutes, and for ABC News. She has an Emmy and a DuPont Gold Baton for her work with Frontline. In 2004, she became Publicity Director at HarperCollins where she worked for 6 years for both the Harper imprint and the Collins imprint. She was involved in building many bestsellers including Cyber War by Richard Clarke, The Sellout by Charles Gasparino, Conquest of the Useless by Werner Herzog, and Alex and Me by Dr. Irene Pepperberg. At February Media she has grown her roster of fiction authors and built bestsellers including The Hamilton Affair by Elizabeth Cobbs, Three Seconds by Roslund & Hellstrom, and Alex by Pierre LaMaitre.
She graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University and also holds a Masters degree in International Relations from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. She lives in Brooklyn.
