On Friday, April 25 at 7PM Paragraph Members Christine Hamm and Aurvi Sharma shared their work at Paragraph’s monthly KGB Reading.

Aurvi Sharma

Christine Hamm has a PhD in American Poetics, and is a former poetry editor for Ping*Pong. Nominated four times for a Pushcart Prize, her poetry has been published in Orbis, Pebble Lake Review, Lodestar Quarterly, Poetry Midwest, Rattle, Rhino, Dark Sky, and many others. She teaches English at CUNY and Pace. Echo Park, her third book of poems, came out from Blazevox in 2011. Erbacce published her fourth chapbook, My Western, in 2012. The New Orleans Review is publishing Christine’s latest chapbook, A is for Absence, in 2014. Christine was also a runner-up to the Poet Laureate of Queens.

Aurvi Sharma writes narrative non-fiction. Her writing has appeared in ‘Remedy’ and ‘Everyday Genius’. In 2012, Aurvi was awarded the Sarai Writing Fellowship in New Delhi during which she travelled to fifteenth-century riverside ruins across north India. Aurvi also freelances as a branding and cookbook specialist. She has lived in fifteen cities across three continents and currently lives in New York.
