Paragraph hosts a monthly literary salon with the goal of providing a space for LGBTQ+ writers to meet, mingle and discuss writing in an informal setting. Our salons start with a hour-long roundtable discussion with a special guest followed by a mixer. This month we will be join by William Johnson, Deputy Director of Lambda Literary, to discuss the business end of being a writer. We will explore topics such as how to get published, ways to find representation and the importance of bylines. Bring your questions, concerns, struggles and frustrations for a lively discussion.
William Johnson is a Brooklyn based essayist, cultural critic, and arts administrator. His writing has appeared in numerous art catalogs and periodicals, including CrushFanazine, LitHub, and Spunk. He is currently the Deputy Director of Lambda Literary, an organization dedicated to promoting LGBTQ literature.
Roundtable discussion will start at 6:30pm sharp, followed by a mixer at 8pm with free drinks (wine, seltzer, tea, coffee) and snacks. This event is 100% FREE and OPEN to all LGBTQ writers and allies, as well as all Paragraph members (we know you are all allies!).
