This week’s AMA is with Brian Birnbaum who is a jack-of and master-of so many trades — he is a fiction writer, Co-Founder and Executive Editor of Animal Riot Press (an independent press that does not accept unsolicited submissions, so this is a good chance to get their ear), and a podcaster. Brian is also super fun and insightful, and says he has always wanted to do a Reddit-style AMA. He grew up thirty minutes west of Camden Yards in Baltimore, where at four years old he cried because the Yankees were losing. An MFA graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, his work has been published or is forthcoming in The Smart Set, The Collagist, Atticus Review, SLAM Magazine, Lit Hub, Political Animal, and more. His first novel is Emerald City (Animal Riot Press). Brian is a child of Deaf adults (CODA). He’s also brilliant on Twitter.
