Are you hungry for feedback on your writing? Myla Goldberg's long-running fiction workshop is now accepting new members. Participants range in age from twenty-somethings to sixty-somethings, and represent writers of various experience levels and interests, from flash fiction to the novel. Each session is devoted to fostering a workshop environment of thoughtful, insightful critique that will provide motivation and focus, with additional discussions of published work from the perspective of craft. This model is based on the classes and workshops Myla has led at the fiction programs of Brooklyn College, Columbia, NYU, and Sarah Lawrence.
The class will run Wednesdays from 2/28-3/21 (four weeks) from 6:30-9:00 PM and will meet at Paragraph, Workspace for Writers in Manhattan. It will cost $400 ($375 for the first four Paragraph members).
Myla will be accepting applications (10-15 double-spaced pages of prose, please) through Friday, February 16th. Qualified applicants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. This means that while Myla won't review submissions until the February 16th deadline, an application received on January 27th will be prioritized above one of equal caliber received on February 7th.
If you've got any questions about this, feel free to drop Myla a line! Questions and workshop applications can be sent to myla@mylagoldberg.com.
