George Black is a writer and consultant for not-for-profits including the Food and Environment Reporting Network (FERN), & non-fiction books.  Recent feature “Purifying the Goddess” in the New Yorker, next book: Sacred and Profane: Encounters with the Ganges.

Cindy Carssow graduated from the University of Texas in Austin. She completed an MFA mid-career from Sarah Lawrence College and worked as a fiction editor for the Lumina Literary Journal.  She currently works as a speech pathologist in early intervention in Manhattan and spends her evenings writing a memoir about her inventor father. She is also writing a series of children’s books based on early language development.

Hannah Thurman is a writer living in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Her short stories have been published inthe Michigan Quarterly Review, The Brooklyn Rail, The Yalobusha Review, and elsewhere. She is currently working on a novel.
