On Wednesday, March 25 at 7pm Paragraph hosted Kevin O’Connor, literary agent from Charlotte Sheedy Literary Agency. Kevin discussed the differences between middle grade and YA, as well as providing his insight from his background in children’s toys.
A recent addition to the Charlotte Sheedy Literary Agency, Kevin O'Connor has worked at Sesame Workshop and KIDZ BOP, earning 9 GOLD records (he promises not to sing!). He cut his teeth in publishing while overseeing publisher relations for NOOK Kids. Kevin was Vice President Consumer Brands & Products at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt overseeing development and marketing for Carmen Sandiego, Oregon Trail and Go Math! Academy. He has a BA in Religion from Columbia and is very lucky to be employed. As an agent he’s looking for children’s projects, adult literary fiction and non-fiction with a special focus on multi-media projects.
