Wendy Levinson joined us for a roundtable on publishing on Thursday, January 14.
Wendy Silbert Levinson recently re-joined Harvey Klinger, Inc. after a period of time raising her two children. Wendy had worked as an agent at Harvey Klinger representing such clients as: Deborah Davis (Strapless); George Taber (Judgment of Paris); Maxwell Gillingham-Ryan (Apartment Therapy); Gary Berntsen (Jawbreaker); Reed Farrel Coleman (The Moe Prager series); Anthony Dias Blue (Bon Appetit magazine, Complete Book of Mixed Drinks), among others, working across the food & wine, fiction and non-fiction genres. In her new role of Director of Development at Harvey Klinger, Wendy is actively seeking new clients for the agency focusing on adult fiction and non-fiction with the occasional YA or middle grade. New clients will then be distributed among the agency’s agents for procuring publishing and ancillary rights deals. On occasion, Wendy will agent her own projects. Prior to agenting, Wendy worked in the motion picture business as VP of Development for Stanley Jaffe, and got her start in book publishing in the paperback division of St. Martin’s Press, and HarperCollins Publishers where she assisted the Editor-in-Chief of the Adult Trade Division. She is a graduate of Amherst College, and a native New Yorker.
